Dear AVL Family,

 

We are excited to resume our in person gatherings!

 

We truly love and are thankful for technology. Because of your continued financial giving, in 2019 we were able to purchase the needed equipment to stream during these uncertain times. It’s a blessing and a benefit to have people from all over the world join us online and be inspired to discover their Maker and all they are made for. Because as you give, God through you!

 

With that said, technology will never replace in-person gatherings. It was never meant to. There are things that cannot be experienced through a screen only. The church is not just about watching a message and listening to worship music, that’s a consumer-based mindset. Jesus set the pace for us to be contributors not consumers. To be givers not takers. To be active not passive. To be a light on a hill, where it's seen and drawing those that are in darkness. (Matthew 5:13-16)

We believe that now more than ever before, there should be a greater hunger to be with one another. It is needed more than we may realize because we know the virus is real and it's impact is significant. Jesus still offers that we lay those burdens and concerns at His feet and let His peace that surpasses understanding be praying n us.
